I have wanted to say something about the Ian Watkins case because of how deeply it’s affected me but at the same time writing about it is too upsetting. So this will be brief.

If you don’t know about the case I will outline but not go into detail. Please read up further if you can bare it, I truly believe knowing about evil helps the good to see it and prevent it spreading. But I can’t go into detail. I just can’t.

Ian Watkins, the lead singer of the band Lost Prophets, has pleaded guilty to a horrific string of child abuse acts, including as young as babies… including with the assistance of some of their mothers. Their own mothers.

My heart goes to these children. The revulsion and horror I feel about this man is infinite. I can’t even describe the way I feel about the mothers who assisted him and even perpetrated these crimes themselves for his amusement.

I hope he’s put in prison with men who recognise him. I hope some of these men are fathers.

Stay safe, hold your children close, see evil coming and keep it away. That is a mothers most basic and fundamental duty.
